Primary Maths Challenge 2017

Primary Maths Challenge 2017

We are counting down the days until the Primary Challenge Regional Heats….there’s just a few days to go! Three pupils from Year 5  – Jaan, Kadian and John – will be representing the school on Tuesday 25th April. We wish them lots of luck!

This is the fourth year of the Primary Challenge, with over 125 schools from across London competing.  This year’s Count on Us Primary Challenge will focus on a wide range of mathematical activities to include shape and code-breaking, as well as the 24® Game. Each event will consist of 3 rounds:

Round 1    Shape – A team activity based on tangrams and pentominoes
Round 2   24® Game – Individual activity using 24® Game cards
Round 3   Codebreaking – A team activity using Caesar Shift to decode

There are qualifying rounds for all of the schools across London. Following this, 26 schools will make it through to the Semi-Finals at City Hall, with the top 13 schools joining us for the Final on July 7th.  There will be updates and photos on the School website.
