Early Years Room Practitioner  

for the Free for 2’s Programme:

REQUIRED:  As soon as available

Term Time only, 20 hours per week, (mornings)

Scale 4, Spine Point term time only (pro rata)

1 year fixed term contract initially

We are seeking an Early Years practitioner to work in our Free for 2’s  Programme,  supporting the delivery of nursery provision to children aged 2 and upwards.  The successful candidate will have:

  • Level  3 childcare qualification
  • Excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Excellent  literacy and numeracy skills
  • Commitment to providing the best early learning opportunities to children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Candidates should have experience working in a nursery or Children’s Centre environment.

ICT Technician

Scale 5 (36 hours per week)

52 week contract

Required  as soon as possible

  • Have experience of working in IT within a school or educational setting
  • Have excellent IT skills
  • Have proven experience and ability in overseeing the effective running of an IT system, including the installation and upgrade of workstations, maintenance of hardware and software updates
  • Be dedicated to the continual improvement of the schools IT system and support service
  • Have excellent communication and time management skills
  • Be able to work individually and as part of a team.

Early Years Practitioner – Scale 5

Required as soon as possible

Successful applicants will have:-

  • Excellent Literacy and Maths skills
  • The ability  to implement interventions in EYFS to  raise attainment of pupils
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • The ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Be an excellent practitioner and role model in classroom and behaviour management

Some of the key responsibilities are to:

  • A knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
  • Monitor and evaluate pupils’ responses to learning activities through observation and recording achievement against predetermined learning objectives. Provide feedback to teachers and pupils
  • Be responsible for keeping records, special books and updating EYFS tracking systems
  • Establish positive and productive working relationships with pupils and actively promote the inclusion of all pupils
  • Responsibility for pupils; providing support to enhance their learning and social well-being
  • Being a key person for allocated pupils
