STEM CHALLENGE

Last week, Y3 took part in the first heat of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) challenge. Children were asked to create a way of transporting tomatoes from one point to another using only string, card and tape. We're very excited to see how children tackle the next challenge.

Cookies & Bookies 

Children's author Tom Banks lead our Cookies and Bookies session recently and shared some tips with parents about reading to their children. 
Y3 Okavango Assembly 

Year 3 Okavango performed in assembly last week and travelled the world whilst showing us a range of different animals.

Reading Race The reading race is a school competition that rewards the class that has read the most.

Niagara who have read 140 times and Y3 Nile who have read 116 times at home last week!
The Welbourne BIG team (Bullying Intervention Group) met this week. Look out for Anti-Bullying competitions in the future! Also each class have a 'Worry Box' in their classroom; perhaps ask your children what they are. The minutes to our meetings are displayed near Zambezi class. Parents and carers are always invited to our meetings and if you would like to attend our next meeting on Thursday 9th March at 2pm or would just like to find out more please speak to Mr Lane.
