Bang The Drum

In case you missed it, Year 5 Orinoco attended the Copper Box Arena in London's Queen Elizabeth park where around 1700 school children aged 7-11 performed in the 'world's largest drumming lesson.' Bang the Drum 2016 event was lead by members of Inspire-works - a British company that teaches African drumming. Children were drumming up support for UK charity StreetChild United and in the process succeeded in breaking the World Record for the largest drumming lesson!

Seine Class Autumn Activities 

This week, Year 2 Seine Class explored the outside environment in science where they studied the season of Autumn by identifying and deciding whether objects such as leaves were living, non-living or dead.

Flu Immunisation 
The school nursing service are offering flu vaccinations in our school to all children in years 1 and 2.
This will be on November 30th, as this is before influenza tends to circulate.
Information, contact details and consent forms will be sent out this month. Your child will not be vaccinated without your consent. In the meantime if you require further information please contact your school nurse, GP or practice nurse
