It’s MADD week at Welbourne!
By Marina Simkassi In NewsThis week, everyone at Welbourne is working extra hard on our MADD subjects (Music, Art, Dance and Drama). Our timetables will be slightly different to let us be even more creative and innovative. Each class are focusing on one artist this week and will be recreating pieces of art in the style of this artist to exhibit at the art gallery taking place at the Summer Fair. We are also making products to sell at the fair!
To kick things off Year One created toy planes to go along with their Transport topic. Beau in Tweed class commented that, “It was a bit tricky to stick on the nose but really exciting to use the shiny glass paint! I hope some one buys my plane.” Tweed class then went on to learn about their artist of the week, Andy Warhol and looked at how he used repeated patterns to build his pieces of Pop Art.
Everyone is really excited to create pieces of music, art, dance and drama this week. We look forward to sharing them with you.
