Three children from Year 4 and 5 represented Welbourne at the Count on Us Primary Challenge 2016 which took place at the City Hall on Wednesday 27th April 2016.
It was the first time that Welbourne have taken part in the challenge. The Count on Us Primary Challenge is a pan-London Maths tournament held at City Hall, where over 100 schools from across London. The aim of the competition is to encourage young Londoners to enjoy maths and to develop their confidence and arithmetic skills. The competitors took part in challenges including 24 Game®, shape puzzles and a code breaking round.
The team performed really well and achieved eighth place in their heat.
