Orinoco in the Book of Records

On Monday 3 rd October, Orinoco class took part in a world record attempt organised by street child united. Street child united is a charity that helps street children all across the

globe. They organised this event to make sure street children all across the globe are heard. We were successful in breaking a world record attempt. This event took place in the Copper box arena located in Stratford. There were roughly 2,000 children taking part. There were 5 groups. We played the Samba and the Hip Hop. We performed at international evening and will perform at our upcoming assembly on the 18 th November.

We had lots of entertainment and met people from the Royal College of Music. We also met the people who organised this event. Not only schools from England but children and adults from all around the world took part in Bang the Drum 2016. This was a great inspiration to all children and adults. There was Beat boxing, Glockenspiel and drumming. There was a performance from the young drummer of the year. The great musician was Tom Potter, who was 12 years old when he started playing. The beat boxers taught us the basics. We also had a workshop kind of like a rehearsal. We hope to see you at our assembly!
